At the heart of La Cañada Kendo Academy is Master Ahn Byung Chan, a 5th-degree black belt with over 15 years of experience in Kendo. Known for his deep passion for the martial art, Master Ahn brings not only technical expertise but also a profound understanding of Kendo's philosophy and values.
With a special love for working with children, Master Ahn believes in nurturing young minds through the discipline of Kendo. He emphasizes the importance of developing both physical skills and mental strength, guiding students to grow with the right mindset—one rooted in respect, focus, and perseverance. His dedication to fostering a strong moral compass in children helps them cultivate confidence and character, both inside and outside the dojo.
